LOTR Everyday Bodices

Summary: Most bodices are one colour, few have contrasting panels. Colours are generally dull, dark greens and browns. Skirts also tend to be dull greens and browns, though there are a number that are blue. Blouses can be floral print or woven texture.

Main bodice colour is a dark sea green with contrasting brown front panel and darker brown trim, yellow stitching on center front panel. Pale green blouse may be textured. Apron is royal purple in colour, orangey upper skirt appears to have slight frill, 2nd skirt light blue, 3rd skirt mid blue.	image C

figure F	Rear view of bodice. Top of bodice appears level with armpit and has thick piping along it. Bodice fabric is brown plaid with slightly lighter brown stripes. Bodice appears to have 7 pairs of grommets and may be shaped to a slight point, but maybe it simply needed another grommet at the bottom. Shawl appears to be tucked in at the back. Pale blue blouse and mid blue skirt has woven texture stripes. Front view shows neckline sits low and has piping around it.	image F
figure G	Front view of bodice. Square neckline sits about midchest. Side panels are a light grey-blue, center front panel a few shades lighter and may have some pattern or texture to it. There is a decorative strip across the neckline, about the colour of the side panels, that has a button on each end. There also appears to be piping of the center front panel going around bottom hem, as well as the outside of the shoulder straps around across the top of the bodice at the back. The stitching for this and the princess seams appears a few shades darker. There may also be multiple rows of the stitching down the princess seams. Rear view shows about six pairs of grommets.	image G
figure H	Front view of bodice. Square neckline sits a bit lower than mid-chest. Fabric is a dark brown check/plaid. Center front panel is cut on the grain, the side panel that is visible is cut on bias and stripes appear to line up. Thick piping in the same fabric goes around neckline. figure I	Mrs Proudfoot. Front view of bodice. Bodice has square neckline at mid-chest. Shoulder straps appear to go past the point of shoulder. Bodice material looks like a cordorouy with front buttoning. Side panels cut on bias. No rearview available to determine whether front buttoning is functionable. figure TT	Reunion with Sam dress Front view of bodice. Curved neckline sits mid chest. Side panels are a sage/khaki green, centre front panel is an ecru/natural colour with embroidery of flowers. Princess seams seem to have a burnt orange ribbon down it. Bodice edged in bias of side panel material. Chemise is a white and lighter sage/khaki green gingham check, with frill coming down to the elbow. Skirt is a light burnt orange colour, mid calf length. Apron is a lighter sage/khaki green with some sort of pattern, maybe white criss-cross lines. Rear view shows high back on bodice with perhaps 12 pairs of grommets, and wide apron ties hang down to nearly length of skirt.	image TT
